2004 Chinook Premier V10
I will be listing my 2004 Premier locally for sale soon and as a long time member I felt I should mention it here before I list it locally. We live in Washington state 30 miles north of Seattle. I am almost 70 and facing a number of health issues and can no longer maintain our Chinook as it should b...

Re: Grey Water Tank Valve Repair Ideas?
I am not sure how bad that is but I have had good success repairing ABS with a slurry made by dissolving ABS pieces (old ABS pipe cut into pieces) in Acetone. I keep a Mason jar of "slurry" around just for these type of repairs. I use a very thin slurry as an adhesive to bond broken pieces...

Re: Has anyone seen any of the new models?
I would hope the quality would be consistent with Chinooks of old but I understand that they have little to nothing in common with the Classic Chinook. The MSRP is nuts and would leave me out of the market. The industry on a whole has had very poor quality control reputation in the last few years. A...

Re: 1997 Premier - add backup camera
When I installed a camera I ended up putting in one and use it full time as my rear view mirror as well as a backup cam. The most work was running the wire from the camera above the rear entry door to the 7" head unit which I attached to the mirror. I ran the wire along the drivers side along t...

Re: Camper Radio runnung off Chassis Battery?
I have my coach radio (Double Din AM/FM CD/DVD) wired to the old VCR (coach) power wire. I also installed a rocker on/off switch next to it. I made a post of it a few years back. Like the ignition it requires being shut off but has never been an issue and for me has worked great. IMO any draw over 2...

New PD 4645 upgrade
Finally got around to installing the Progressive Dynamics 4645 converter replacing the original Magnatek. It was pretty strait forward. Thanks to Clay for warning about the extra length needed for the primary wire. It was a little different than his scenario of my Premier. I had a nest of wires with...

Re: 2003 Chinook With Damage
Hi CB,
For the condition and amount of work it needs the price seems on the steep side in my opinion. At his price I would expect a fairly clean unit with a few minor issues. At the end of the day if you are happy that's what is important.
Good luck whichever way it goes.

Re: TV
I installed a 12V 19" Axess flatcreen (no longer on Amazon) to replace the old boat anchor tv. For power I used the old TV wires and installed a 12V cigarette lighter plug in the overhead.
