I have the same year and model chinook you have. Do you happen to have any manuals for it? Do you know the fresh water tank size? Black tank size? Grey tank size?
Thanks!

Re: Absorption refrigerator
I ran the fridge on propane last night and the freezer was at -8 degrees. The fridge could be colder but I realized that the previous owner replaced the fridge outside panel with one that is solid and does not allow for airflow. So we are not getting air intake and up and absorbing the heat and leav...

Re: 1976 dodge chinook 18 plus 2 furnace question
Are these furnaces run by both 12v and 110v? Or just 12v? And when plugged into shore power- my converter let’s the shore power keep the house battery topped up which in turn will run the furnace 12v while plugged in at a campground shore power?

Re: Fresh water tank
Thank you. I emailed them yesterday and they said they discontinued that mold and that it is ok to use a tank made back the. That there is no danger from the plastic used.

Re: 1976 dodge chinook 18 plus 2 furnace question
Thanks for the good advice- especially about an RV service center. As of now I’ve only had it at a regular garage which was difficult to find one willing to work on a vehicle from the 70’s and that could also get it on their lift.

Thank you for your reply. I’ll check panel, change the house battery to deep cycle, and check the wiring schematics.

Fresh water tank
Hi. I just purchased a 1976 dodge chinook 18 plus 2. It has a fresh water tank that has this Info in it: Inca T 1237 AIPMO T I can’t tell the tank size. This tank looks original. Is it on to use it if it works fine/no leaks? Are there any concerns for using such an old tank for drinking water? Can I...
