What a horrible thing to happen. Really glad that you are OK. Hope you find a replacement soon so you can get back out on the road.

Re: has anyone ever replaced the Furnace?
I looked into replacing the stock 12000 btu furnace in my 2004 Premier with a more efficient/smaller footprint propane heater unit (Propex HS 2800 from propexheatsource.com) but opted to just upgrade to the Suburban 1600 SQ which has a slightly more efficient fan than the original stock but has the ...

Glad you got it sorted. I learned something new that will likely prove useful at some point down the road. Great example of the real value of this forum. A wealth of knowledge and willingness to share!

Re: 2000 Chinook Premier Loose Outlet
Now you’re making me jealous! I’ve done a lot to improve our Rig in terms of storage, road worthiness , and general functionality—but all within the context of existing 2004 vintage. Your improvements (particularly charging upgrades) are positively modern. Coupled with the structural integrity and l...

BobW9–glad you came back with that detailed description of actual outlet configuration. So much more helpful than what I had to offer.

Re: 2000 Chinook Premier Loose Outlet
Orion...lucky you to have inherited the Rig, and welcome to the Forum. I just went out to take a look at the AC outlets in our Rig (a 2004 Chinook Premier). They are not identical to the one in your picture, but similar--no screws or other evidence of attachment from the exposed side. So, I am led t...

Re: Has anyone seen any of the new models?
Welcome Phil4—our first Next Gen Chinook owner I believe. I for one am really looking forward to hearing what you have to say as a user of these new Rigs.

Re: Has anyone seen any of the new models?
Just got done watching both videos. Nice to see Chinook going back to its roots of a solid Class B+. Technical upgrades are definitely cool—engine, lithium, heat/hot water, frig and cook top to eliminate propane….along with the increased insulation (cab and tanks). Construction seems solid. But I hav...

Re: 1997 Premier - add backup camera
Chin—your Haloview BT7 looks like a great choice, but I have opted for the RSV 155-HD wireless unit due to fact that I don’t need the Haloview bells and whistles, and I like the smaller 5” profile of the monitor (mounted in ashtray holder on doghouse.

Re: 1997 Premier - add backup camera
Chin—what make/model wireless backup camera did you get? The one I have had for almost 6 years just died and I need to replace it.
Thanks,
David
