Re: Updates to our 1993 Concourse - Project Thread
The local junk yard was having a 40% off sale, so I picked up a new grill and headlights to try to spruce the front end up a bit. Total investment was $40 for these. I actually purchased both this style and the big chrome oval style. I think the dual Ford emblems look a bit silly, but I don't think...

Re: Dinosaur board
The AC output wires are interchangeable, as they simply go to the 120VAC powered heating element. Interestingly, mine had the DC three way option, but no DC element! When I figured that out, I bought one, slid it into its holder next to the AC one, hooked its wires to the controller output for DC he...

Re: Saw a twin to mine only 6 miles from home!!!
Banks power additions were what were used to help Chinook break the motorhome speed record at Salt Lake Flats back in '98. Air, headers, exhaust. Unfortunately they had it tuned for sea level, and only was officially clocked at 99.7 mph. It later ran unofficially at 113 mph. 72A3993F-0CB4-447C-AA1A-...

Re: Alright everyone, I need electrical upgrades, time for ALL NEW! Suggestions needed!
Well, we all love to spend someone else's money heh heh :) But really, it all depends on your budget, and what your actual electrical goals are. When you camp away from power now, are your electrical needs met? Is there anything that you'd like to be able to do, that you cannot right now? Btw, do yo...

On my '94 with two table post flush mounts, the holes go all the way through.

Re: Rear compartment leak
When I took off my running lights to scrape away all the years of accumulated caulking, I was amazed at the size of the light holes underneath. So yeah, check those. In my case, though, a rear leak turned out to be a single long top ladder screw. The leak then ran along the underside of the roof to ...

Re: LVD 135001 Repacement
This thread actually reminds me to INSTALL an adjustable Blue Seas LVD that I bought after my battery ran down due to a radio left on with no sound. Yes, if I had been around, I would've noticed my meters telling me the battery was being drained. But it's the accidental situations like I had, where ...

Re: 2000 Concourse Decal Template for Restoration (Gold/Dark)
With the exception of the Premier, none of the graphics on our style Chinooks are decals. It's all automotive paint covered with clear coat. The paint codes are on two paper stickers in the driver's door jamb, if they're still there after all these years. If you're brown color, then the original For...
