Re: Concourse Fuse Block
I'm going to tap into that line and feed the dead side of the block. To make sure that I don't leave something on when I shutdown the vehicle I am going to put a red LED SPST toggle switch on this feed to make sure I switch it off. After two days of troubleshooting, I understand your frustration. I...

Re: Concourse Fuse Block
Do you have a wire tracer? Some people use a toner/tracer that transmits a tone, and they use a hand wand to find the wire that emitting the tone. It may be useful for this. Chin_k I considered buying a wire tracer. But after looking at the bundles of wires under the dash and the hood, all of them ...

Re: Concourse Fuse Block
Update FWIW. Still haven't been able to trace the path from the ignition switch to the TW fuse block. Going to plan B. Since the constant power is live and there is nothing currently feeding off any of the fuse slots on that side, I'm going to tap into that line and feed the dead side of the block. ...

Concourse Fuse Block
I'm trying to track down an electrical issue with my 2001 Concourse. As many of you know, Trail Wagons installed an additional fuse block under the driver's side dash. It is used to provide power to such things as the power mirrors, the heated /cooled cup holders, and other added accessories. What m...

Re: Houghton Heat Pump Upgrade
OK, got it sorted. Here's the skivvy. If you look at the pic I posted previously you'll see a cable with 2 small wires (red and white). The pic makes it look like those wires are labeled 12 V+, but that is actually on the large red wire in front of that cable. Anyway, it turns out that these are act...

Re: Houghton Heat Pump Upgrade
Clay, I've pretty much come to the same conclusion. Fortunately, I took pix before I dewired the old Dometic. Along with the phone type cable were several other individual wires. Two blue and a red and black which I labeled (see pic). After watching a boatload of You Tube vids on installing, upgradi...

Re: Houghton Heat Pump Upgrade
Thank you for your response, chin_k. I guess I wasn't clear, the Houghton doesn't use a separate thermostat. It has a remote that is used to set temp and fan speed. There is an LED display on the interior ceiling plenum that also displays this information. So I don't need a wall thermostat to contro...

Houghton Heat Pump Upgrade
Just upgraded to a Houghton Low Profile Quiet HEat Pump from Recpro. Did the install myself. Other than getting the old Dometic unit off the roof and the new Houghton onto the roof, the install was pretty straight forward. So far very happy with the function and quietness of the unit. However, one t...

Power Mirror Switch replacement
I need to replace the power mirror switch on the driver's door of our 2001 Concourse. Doing a search for a 2000 Ford E350 brings up the switch in the first picture below; however, ours actually looks like the second picture - which is a Mustang switch! Granted, they're both Fords and the Chinook IS ...
