Re: Locking clips (?) on back of top half of dinette seat

If you mean the front dinette seat, it’s top folds down to allow less restricted air flow to the furnace that has inlet/outlet air registers down there. Then you get a slightly improved air balance for more efficient operation.

Re: ac quits blowing when going up a hill

I had a similar problem. Turned out to be the vacuum supply to the damper door for the air-distribution controls. More engine throttle gives less manifold vacuum and the default door position switches to defrost when it doesn’t get enough. So the first sign of leaking vacuum hoses, typical for aged ...

Re: Propane light says full but is empty

I had this problem with a new Manchester G12846 Remote OHM Sender level gauge when replacing my old propane tank. This gauge simply snaps into place over the appropriate tank fitting and is spliced into the existing wiring up to the stovetop info center display. There is no electrical polarity (plus...

Re: steering column vibration

Are we talking about the dreaded “death wobble” here? Allpar has a very detailed article that helps troubleshoot the issue, that includes steering column vibration. https://www.allpar.com/SUVs/jeep/death-wobble.html Chrysler’s TSB to Jeep dealers provides this helpful checklist: • Is the vehicle equ...

Re: Propane Tank Leak

My original Manchester #6820 LP tank developed its second leak around the threads for external fittings. First it was the port for the pressure relief valve and now the port for the level gauge. That’s two leaks too many so time for a new tank, especially since the original passed its 16th. birthday...

Re: oil change schedule

Fresh oil has a very long shelf life so I’d also go with #1. Don’t forget to change the filter as well. The main cause of engine oil deterioration is contamination by combustion byproducts that exhaust the additive package designed to protect against acids and sludge buildup. Frequent start/stop the...

The Cochise Stronghold

Cochise Stronghold East is a delightful Forest Service campground in the Coronado National Forest that we have frequented over the years for the stunning rock scenery and hiking trails. Crowds are deterred by several miles of dirt access road and the lack of hookups or water. No reservations are req...

Re: 2000 diesel 4x4 Concourse,

Or, check out the 4WD diesel Winnebago Revel that recently shared our campground for an off-the-shelf item. I was never a fan of the Sprinter diesel chassis but Winnebago seems to have done a good job as the brand recovers with innovative products. I was embarrassed to have held up this fancy rig wh...
