Re: House battery not charging when engine is running.
After looking at locations for a 2nd house battery, I was curious if anyone had placed one under the kitchen sink in the cabinet. 1996 Chinook Concourse with rear entry door.

Re: No Start - Fuel Pump Failure
My 1995 Chinook, 460 runs and starts great as long you start it everyday. If I let it sit for over a day, the engine cranks and tries to start but usually takes several tries before starting, 15-20 seconds of cranking. Thinking it's a fuel supply problem. I have 1/2 tank of fuel. Generator starts ri...

Re: 1995 Chinook Concourse Awning Mount Water Leak
At some point it would be a good idea to remove it and check the mounting brackets, screws and sealant. As I discovered, it is a hidden source of water leakage inside the walls if the brackets are loose.

Re: 1995 Chinook Concourse Awning Mount Water Leak
On the bottom of each mounting bracket is one screw that secures the awning to the bracket. Remove those screws. At that point the awning hanging on each mounting bracket with the bottom resting on each bottom support where you removed the screws. All of this is done with the awning in the closed/re...

Re: 1995 Chinook Concourse Awning Mount Water Leak
Before I removed the brackets, I slowly tightened each self tapping screw (all same size), they all felt solid. The front bracket above the window was really loose and there was evidence of rust where someone had installed a larger and longer zinc coated, hex head self tapping screw in the lower 3rd...

Re: 1995 Chinook Concourse Awning Mount Water Leak
I removed the awning mounting brackets and there is no evidence of any sealant anywhere, amazing. I'm sure there were other water leaks associated with the other two loose brackets. I'll get them sealed correctly and be good to go.

Re: 1995 Chinook Concourse Awning Mount Water Leak
So, you would use one layer of butyl on the back side of the whole bracket?

Re: 1995 Chinook Concourse Awning Mount Water Leak
Ok, I'll check that out, so when you had the back side exposed, there was no plywood anywhere? Also, I did get the Bed-It butyl. Love that stuff.
