Re: 1999 Premiere Reno - moved from General Chinook
Thanks! It was actually sort of a fun retirement project - a real challenge to figuring it all out! BUT, we've just posted it for sale on this Forum. At least you all know everything about it - the good, the bad, and the UGLY! I'd sort of like to keep it and think it's a safe and reliable MH for its...

Re: 1999 Premiere Reno - moved from General Chinook
Thanks!!! Now we have to decide whether to try and sell it or keep it. My mother is simply never going to use it and I hate to see her lose the money. She did offer it to us. BUT, it just isn't big enough. We travel with a 90 lb Akita, 30 lb Boston Terrier, and 9 lb cat! I'd have to get a separate t...

Re: 1999 Premiere Reno - moved from General Chinook
Renovation done! The final piece of work that we had to do was to "redo" a skylight put in by a previous owner. At some point, someone had literally cut a hole in the roof and installed some kind of weird sunroof - there is paperwork for that in the book. For whatever reason, another owner...

Re: This Year's Projects Complete.
I love to see the interiors lightened up; my mother's 99 Premiere seemed so dark, with all of the gray, gray, gray. I didn't paint cabinets, but considered it, but painted all of the walls a light silvery gray. I also toyed with the idea of wallpapering the cabinet insets to add a little bling, but ...

Re: vinyl flooring
Paul[/quote] OK Paul I see what your plan is. I've put down a lot of click flooring in homes and don't think it would move much more if any with dynamat than some of the foam underlayment I have used. The good part is the Chinook is such a small area you can try it out and still be able to remove it...

Re: vinyl flooring
Because of protruding bolt heads, less-than-stellar plywood, holes, seams, humps and other issues, I was forced to install a new subfloor on top of the old one. I used 3/8" particle board made for underlayment. I'm going to seal it with latex Kilz to keep water from puffing it up. Once sealed,...

Re: vinyl flooring
I spoke to the Home Depot flooring guy who did recommend the Home Depot LifeProof vinyl plank flooring for RVs. It is a click in place, similar laminates and very solid and thick - I think it is part of the same Allure line, but a bit more expensive. HOWEVER, all of the research I did and videos tha...

Re: 1999 Premiere Reno - moved from General Chinook
Yes, that is correct. I took a pic yesterday; it is attached and shows the bolt ground/grinded off. I moved the bracket to the side for this pic.
I also attach a picture of the right side of the kitchen cabinet showing the bracket added to the back board for support.
