Re: Common cause of water leaks in the body?

Brian, if you're talking to me about my issue mentioned on the first page, it seemed to stop after I fixed some leaks on the other side of the door. The water might have been travelling along the lower inside step (or just under it). At least, after I had no more wet spots in the left side, the wet ...

Re: 2000 Chinook Premier Loose Outlet

Only knew because I've had to do quite a few things in that overhead area (I added BlueSeaSystems USB outlets next to each of my AC outlets, ran wiring for a new battery monitor and Victron inverter monitor next to the Comfort Control box, and laid new DC wiring for some computer stuff I put in my f...

Re: 2000 Chinook Premier Loose Outlet

I just pulled the faceplate of one of my outlets (it just snaps in place, to cover the screws). It looks like that middle piece is part of the outlet frame/body in mine, not separate at all. Maybe yours just broke? Anyway, after the faceplate is pried off with a screw driver, it looks to me like you...

Re: 2000 Chinook Premier Loose Outlet

No fabric cutting is required to access the outlets. Below are general instructions, along with some photos from my Concourse (only 4 per post, so the last 3 are in a second post after this one). 1) Empty the overhead compartment. 2) Unscrew the wood dividers and remove them. 3) unscrew the carpeted...

Re: AC power issues

Breakers includes looking at the breaker panel and the separate breaker on the outlet near the rear door on the right-hand side (just push the red button in). That outlet is the start of the power lines that go to all the other outlets. The Microwave is on a different circuit, so it wouldn't be affe...

Re: 2023 costs for complete Brake job ?

Thanks, never any rush for me :). Just trying to decide if I want to pay for new brakes, and if so, what the best brakes would be. My brakes are only a little over a year old (though 10,000 miles now), but were a rush on-the-road had to do it, and just standard. I'm in NM currently and went over a r...

Re: 2023 costs for complete Brake job ?

I forget price but when I had my brakes done I upgrade to Powerstop brake kit, was big improvement. I know others upgrade to E-450 brakes which are bigger as well but I think that is bigger job. How long have you had the Powerstop brakes now? Can you check sometime and see if they have any rust, an...

Re: Camper Radio runnung off Chassis Battery?

As I first discovered back in 2013, and others have confirmed in some of their Chinooks, the radio in the coach, at least for some of us, has dual connections, to coach and chassis. I would guess this was probably done so the radio only turns on and runs when the coach is active (the store switch is...

Re: Is 1ah load to small to hunt down?

Our stock alternator is 130 amp so I believe two 30 amp DC/DC chargers in parallel will let 60 amps through. My Power Control box under sink is 30 amp also but I can upgrade to 45 amp if I wish. I might look for 60 amp upgrade, I think Parallex has 60 amp unit, but not sure if easy swap with Booned...
