Re: Mechanic says front brakes seizing up...ideas?
Thanks for the info. I'm guessing 7th & Main is the 633 NE Broadway location? I was all set to do this when I still had a Chinook... Mainly lurking on here as I miss them. Awhile back I paid ~$1300 to have a bunch of front end work done on my '97 E350 ambulance. Tie rods, brake calipers, bearing...

Re: 2001 Chinook Concourse For Sale in Dallas
Wow, that really does look like every scam ad out there. Price seems great for the miles and year. That would probably go for 20k no prob. up here in the NW. You could buy that, enjoy for the summer, then just make a more legit ad and easily come out ahead.

Re: Rear Awning, anyone done it?
Riv-nuts would make more sense with several metal backing plates to spread out the load. I'm not sure how they'd work with fiberglass. Then you could just have one or two secure bolting spots per awning mount location, and seal up the factory Chinook screw holes. Have you heard of plus-nuts? They sp...

Re: Sienna seats
I've played this game a little bit while trying to figure out additional seating, with integrated belts. The Sienna seats are really nice, but spendy, and hard to find. There are lots of ways to mount things. I think you can make a more secure mount than the factory "belted" positions. I p...

Re: Paddling Boats
I bought a single Klepper off local Craigslist for $50. It's in rough shape, the hull is shot, but I mainly bought it to put together the frame and hang it up on the back deck with another wood kayak frame I have. Neat things to look at, for sure. Just one more project in the pile...

Re: Paddling Boats
I grew up using a Klepper Aerius II folding kayak that my parents had. Now I have one, but it rarely gets used. It's a big boat, holds two adults and plenty of gear, and even has a sailing kit. They've been sailed across the Atlantic, and varied military have used them. Pretty cool design, it's all ...

Re: New To Us Chinook Makeover
Wow, that's looking great. 80/20 is cool, I've been looking at some generic versions of it, been trying to find locally. Maybe I missed it, but what are you attaching the upholstery with to the walls and ceiling? Just spray adhesive? Any specific kind? Nice job on the Flexsteel reupholstery. Did you...
