Re: Replace Siemen’s solar panel

This is what I did six years ago ... the system continues to run great. Installed two GS135 panels (270 watts total), one either side of the AC using AM Solar's proprietary mounts, with the outer mounts positioned close to the edge of the upper roof line. This allows the panels to be tilted when req...

Re: Shop near Houston, TX

Back in 2015 I had some work done on my 2003 Premier at Elite RV & Car Care in Humble TX (just north of IAH). You could give them a try.

Loud AC/Heater Fan

The cab AC/heater fan has suddenly become much louder - a much deeper guttural sound - especially on maximum. It's significantly louder than it used to be - on all the setitngs - AC, vent or floor / mix. The AC and heater still work fine - just that the fan all of a sudden became much louder. Not su...

Need source for spare wheel cover

When my 2003 Premier was in for an oil change and brake check the service technician managed to back it into some object, damaging the plastic cover on the spare wheel. Now I need to find a replacement plastic cover. Any ideas on where I might find one? The service shop owner tried to find a replace...

Beeping Coach Battery Disconnect Switch

Any thoughts on this problem? For some time now, the cab's overhead coach battery disconnect switch beeps and flashes when it is switched on and I start the engine. Once the engine has started the beeping stops. Seems odd, and logically unrelated, that beeping occurs when drawing current from the st...

Dog bed for poodle

Comfy bed behind passenger seat for Dexter, Jane's poodle, for when we are parked. Easily removed, and rear leg folds flat, for vertical storage when traveling.

Re: tips for hanging clothes other than in the closet

Ditto - I also travel light and roll clothes - most go in REI stuff sacks

To reduce trips to launderettes, I like to wear hiking apparel that is easy to hand wash, and quick to dry e.g. Columbia hiking pants

Re: Brake Upgrade

They are definitely better than the originals - noticeable improvement but I wouldn't characterize it as a BIG difference, but there again I do not drive aggressively, and therefore tend to be gentle on brakes. I know I will feel more comfortable the next time I'm in the mountains.

Re: how long for refrigerator to cool

Dependent on weather, we turn on the fridge one or two days before loading.
