Re: Blue sighting!

Thanks, terriv, that's nice to know. Looks like we have matching-year Chinooks too, just with dinette vs. club layout :)

Re: Another trailer wiring question

I unwrapped the bundle of wiring behind the two schnozzles, and found that Chinook used the brown one for the four-way flat trailer adapter, like Blue said. There are 3 wires on the black schnozzle, and Chinook used the backup wire for something that I do not know. It's been almost 8 years since I ...

Re: Better Heat Distribution from Dinette Vent

I know! I was almost disappointed to see that. I would still rather put in a Propex, but I thought huh, if I buy a new one of the Suburbans it will just drop right in, and 2.8 amps isn't all that bad. Then I looked at those old photos and saw the original 1999 one also only drew 2.8 amps. And it wor...

Re: Better Heat Distribution from Dinette Vent

What a great idea! I have the club layout, so no problem with heat coming out from (the furnace I removed) under a bed, but dang, that bathroom is nippy! The thought of heat blowing out back there is glorious. But yeah, there's not exactly a great path for a duct. Between the generator box and the f...

Wait, how'd you know everything I've been up to?

Not nearly as exciting as your list, actually ;) Still rocking the Chinook though :)

Re: Jack knife conversion

That's great. I just re-read Kirah's post above. That is a really good and simple way to make a ~39" bed. I found that I liked having the backrest. Mainly because it's like a 72" long coffee table* on the window side  (my backrest is a rectangle shape not a humped shape like the origi...

Re: Window AC in generator compartment? (Scott or anyone else)

Just thought I'd update this post with two summers' use under my belt (and those were HOT summers, with temps over 100º for days on end) (trapped, don't ask). So to re-cap, I removed my roof air-conditioner many years ago and replaced it with a skylight. All good there. Still love the skylight and t...

Re: Rear end type

I took a photo of my axle tag but don't have it to hand right at the moment.

What BobW is saying sounds right to me. I think I do have the E2 as well (1998 chassis, 4.10 Limited slip, full floating).

Re: Coach batteries change to Lithium

My Lifeline AGM's are starting to show signs they would like to be retired (after 8 great years though, they owe me nothing), and I've been considering changing over to LFP. Here are the things I would be changing: 0) I already re-did the whole DC distribution system many years ago. This included th...

Re: Request: tire pressure recommendations

Blue who? Hey, hey! Too funny though as I have not visited the forum in a long time and look what's in "new posts" the day I come back  I would go with the sticker on the driver door as a starting point, and use the manufacturer table for minor adjustment based on loading. ...
