Camco portable big red campfire

Wondering if anyone has a little or big camco portable red campfire and if so, do you recommend it or not. Also, wondering if it will fit in one of the outside storage areas. One more question - has anyone had experience with ordering from allrv.com that they would be willing to share? Our 2001 Chinook Concourse does not have a generator and that space is available for storage also but the Chinook is not nearby to check the size of the storage doors. The prices on this site are by far the cheapest we have found for this campfire.

We have a little red camp fire and love it when there is a wood fire ban, put a fitting on the propane tank so we can tap into it instead of bringing propane bottles. Carry it on top. We found the best price at the time at Amazon.

Thanks for your reply. We would prefer to order from Amazon but their price at the moment is much higher. We like the fact that the big red can sit on the lid making it a little higher but maybe this is not really important? Do not think that the little red can sit on the lid without a mod so it can sit above the handle. Do you find the size to be OK or does it seem a little small? Do you have a storage pod on the roof to store it in? We do not have one and are hoping that it would fit in the empty generator area.

We never had it on the lid just the ground, the size is alright for us, we just mostly use it during burn bans or no fire pits. We store it on top in a rack up there.

Works great when I don't have the trailer to haul wood.

Lovely photo! Good things come to those who wait. I have been keeping an eye on the price of the camco big red campfire and on checking our local Craigslist am now the proud owner of one 😎! One of the clamps to hold the top to the bottom was broken and so I sent an email to Camco to see if we could get a new one. They emailed back immediately and a replacement part is in the mail - at no cost! Very impressed at the super quick response!

Our Chinook is in winter storage. We have the 10 foot hose that came with the Big Red Campfire. Do you use that or do you require a different hose to connect to the Chinook propane tank?
Thanks!

Sometimes the 10' line doesn't reach where we want it, so we carry a tank. Picture was taken last weekend at The Alabama Hills on our way to Death Valley. Pic of our view from the chairs of Mt Whitney and the other is what's behind us.

Wondering if anyone has a solution for hooking up propane from a 2001 Concourse to a big red campfire or portable propane campfire. Apparently Camco (maker of the Big Red campfire) does not have an adapter that will work for our setup. Photo of our propane connection under our Concourse is attached. According to Camco the adapter for the 1 pound propane cylinder is Camco 59213 and that the campfire will not have the same flame/heat output using the small cylinders.
