Hi, I'm the new owner of a '99 Concourse as of February this year. Even though it has under 50K miles it's requiring quite a few repairs and upgrades. Among those is the mechanism that holds the spare tire in place. After going to a Chinook rally this past spring I saw that mine was unique in that when you raise the spare tire up on its bracket, to lock it in place you have to insert a pin in a channel while you're juggling the tire so that the pin lines up. Everyone I saw had a latch that looks much easier to work with. A local shop said they can build something like that for me but first I wanted to see if anyone had a spare tire bracket/assembly they weren't using anymore (spare is on roof, in front, in garage, etc) that they'd be willing to sell. If so, please let me me know. It looks like I can get a new made by ASAP fabricators for $600 plus shipping but that's way out of my price range for this project. The forum has been a great help so far - thanks much! Jeff
