Canadian power pedestals

Post by Xatlatc »

I've been searching the net for information on international power adapters and converters for an upcoming trip ( via airplane of course ) to Iceland which got me to thinking about next years trip to Canada via Chinook. I read somewhere on this forum about driving out of Banff, Alberta, Canada on the Trans-Canada Highway and then join the Icefields Parkway for a few miles to experience the views then we would head down toward Seattle. I looked up Trans-Canada Highway and Icefields Parkway on Google maps using street view and decided I need to go see those sights. Do I need some type of power adapter in order to use shore power in Canada or do they use the same plugs as in the U.S.?

I can only speak to Victoria BC, but it was the same 30amp plug we use here. (Funny.. I didn't even think to ask/check.. just got lucky)
