Balboa First Class B+

There's a recent Mesa, AZ Craigslist ad for a 1972 Chevrolet Balboa RV that is strikingly similar to the Chinook. A little googling told me Balboa pioneered the "Class B+" concept before Chinook. Here's one re-purposed in shocking pink as a food cart with the charming moniker "Porky's Piglet." Something for RV trivia fans:

Interesting layout, with the bath and sink similar, but the dinner table between two sofas like a dual couch Chinook.

Thanks for posting that article Ted. They were very similar. As I have mentioned being from Washington I see many Chinooks. I remember as a kid a Chinook dealer in Aberdeen WA, that had a full compliment of the old Chinook slide in campers and truck frame based cabovers. They also carried the Mobilodge. What is more sad to me was that real estate dealings and not the RV market is what brought down Chinook.
