Wheel Simulators

Post by Concourse »

My Concourse lost a factory KII front wheel simulator on a trip. I decided to go with a set of bolt-on simulators. Unfortunately the front wheel studs don't have any threads exposed beyond the lug nuts (the rears do). Other than finding someone that changed wheels (ie: Alcoas) and has a front KII simulator to replace mine (I don't want to buy a set of 4 just for one) I'm thinking I'd need to go to a shop that could press out the original wheel studs and press in longer studs. Not sure if all 8 studs would need to be replaced (balance?) or only the two that need to be longer to accept the stud extenders for the bolt-ons. Also not sure of a source for longer studs (about 1/4" longer than factory length). Thoughts?
