reddingnative: I have to laugh at that last photo of the long window (out) in your post: It's the exact opposite of the usual staged (or photoshopped) shot with that looong panorama of a mountain lake or etc. just outside the picture window :lol:

I was thinking about why Chinook used a thick flexible rubber seal on these windows. The business where I reinstalled my windows said they thought is was for simplicity of the install and to allow the thickness of the seal to make up for the the mounting surface not being completely flat. So, in my situation, the window frames were flush along the top and the bottom gap was 1/4" prior to removing them.
