Manitou,

I take it you are moving "trips in progress" to the "trip talk" section when they are no longer in progress. I was thinking about this and I think maybe I'd prefer to leave them in the "in progress" section. My reasoning is that sometimes on forums I'm in the mood to read an "as it happens" trip report. When doing so, it doesn't matter to me if the trip is done, because I'm still reading it "live." I mean, unless I read everything in every forum every day, the "in progress" trip reports will always be behind reality. But the flavor of the writing is still "as it happens," since that's when/how it was written.

As a side bonus, you wouldn't have to do anything to them. I think it's fairly obvious when a trip is done, so no-one will be getting confused (you get to the end of the thread, see the date, and know that the trip ended).

My thoughts anyway.

Less work will usually get my vote.. So in the future I'll just leave them be.
