Pennsylvania Baconfest

Post by Skillet »

Spent Saturday, several hours away, in Easton, Pa at their annual Baconfest. I felt it was my man duty to do the pilgrimage once in my life. It was like a crowded bar, except several city blocks wide. I opted to park at a local airport and take the shuttle in. I'm glad I did because traffic was terrible and they didn't properly prepare for all the vehicles. At least it was someone else's headache to drive it.
If you could put bacon in a food or drink, it was sold there. I tried some bacon pierogis which were really good and fresh. But I will say everything sold there was overpriced for what you got. If you love bacon (and who doesn't!) go to at least one.

As soon as I saw the word "baconfest," in the thread title, I KNEW it was going to be a Skillet post

If there's an "odd" or interesting festival somewhere, you, your pups, and your Chinook find it!

And it's always fun to hear about it.

Mmmm, bacon....
