Cape San Blas

Post by Xatlatc »

After years of wanting to explore Cape San Blas on St. Joseph Bay Aquatic Preserve I finally got to see the white sand dunes and emerald water. It’s very shallow water on the bay side which allows people to walk around collecting scallops. There are two state park campgrounds on the north part of the Preserve. We didn’t stay and decided to go to St. Andrews State Park near Panama City where I saw the fattest rattle snack crossing the road. Stopped at Dusty’s Oyster Bar for a late lunch. On to Topsail Hill Preserve in Santa Rosa Beach.

Used to go on vacation to Destin, which is near Panama City. Great area for seafood and the closer you get to Apalachicola the better the oysters are! Enjoy!
