This was also a good time to discard the annoying Dicor Versa Liner wheel simulators and braided flex hose to the valve stems. The bare rims with new one-piece metal valve stems and Alligator V2B inflate-through caps are much more convenient for service. So far I like the look and ride with the Coopers and time will tell how well they hold up.
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I also went to a set of the Cooper HT3's. They look very close to the Michelin's and were cheaper. My tire guy of over 30 years recommended them. The DOT code on my original Michelins was 2003 and despite only having 25K on them it was time.
