Posting up for the grand 1 more time. Hopefully they figure out how to start and reply to threads after this
"Has anyone replaced the camera on their coach? The monitor when removed from the visor says it is a color monitor LCM -445 Audiovox FlexView, the manual says
. Note: while the LCM-445 is a color monitor, the camera is black/white. Therefore, the image on the screen will be black/white.
Do you know if you replace with a color camera does the monitor have to be rewired?
Sorry to direct this to the administrator but I haven't figured out how to send to the group."

Re: Backup cameras
Sorry we never pursued the black and white rewire. Our choice was to purchase the REAR VIEW SAFTEY camera in the wireless format. (Suggested by the post from the Journeyer). Installation was simple (with quad addition available), we kept the black & white adjusted down to watch the trailer hitch...
and use the color for back up and watching behind in heavy traffic. We made the 9 days trip to Lake of the Ozarks, MO towing Tom's 21 ft. Ranger Bass boat.
Our RV service center wanted to see what the parts number on the existing camera and it could possibly be changed out with a color Audivox; but once Tom opened the back rolled bunk head.....he says not in his pay grade and closed it up. We payed the 86.00 next day delivery and was able to leave for the regional tournament after receiving it. We are pleased with both. Hope this helps, it was more than Tom wanted to tackle. He had fishing on his mind.
