Had to add some fiberglass to the bedroom side window as well. Only a 1/2” so it wasn’t too bad. Got the window in the other day, loving the opening options.

I have made plans with the painter to bring the rig down this Saturday for paint. He said should have it done in 2-3 weeks!

Drove around to a couple dealers this weekend looking at different Brown colors. My big concern with the color is that it will look to light/bronzy in direct sun like the ford color I first wanted.

These four browns I like, first two have a slight gray tint to them, the third color (Honda) is deep brown! Last is an infinity color that I liked.

It's going to look so cool! I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee in "Taupe Frost Metallic". I have never tired of that color after all these years. It never looks dirty. Your Chinook is going to be gorgeous. You can't go wrong with any of those colors.

Yes! I looked forever for a clean low miles “Phantom Gray Pearl” Tundra, very similar to your Jeep color. It always looks good, even if it’s dirty.

Took the 5hr drive yesterday and dropped the camper off in VA at Fast Eddies Auto Body. Decided to go with Eddie since he already resprayed a fellow Chinook owner Skillet’s rig last year and because the price was great! For 5k he is not only respraying the chinook, he’s also going to clean the frame up and paint it with a durable tractor paint (similar to a por-15). Plus while he’s doing that I asked if he can wire wheel my steel wheels and paint them too and he said no problem!

When do you think it'll be ready? I hope you like his job as I still like mine. I'm going to have to ask about the tractor paint, that sounds very interesting!

Said it would be done by memorial day weekend the latest. Very excited to see the finished product! Once I get it back I have to figure out want I’m going to do for a rear bumper. Also a buddy of mine in PA is going to help me apply a vinyl graphic on the camper, going to try to replicate this rig.
