Rear Awning, anyone done it?
Re: Rear Awning, anyone done it?
Back to the original topic. Anyone think about adapting something like this for a rear awning?

I don't know how well this going to work since there is no swing-up trunk door on the Chinook to block the rain. But compare to a regular EZ-up tent, there are two fewer legs that you have to deal with, but not as flexible as to where you can pop it up, since it has to be attached to the rig.

Out of all the ideas I've seen for a rear awning, this one looks the most promising.

I am not convinced until I see a photo of it right next to a Chinook. Our rig is a lot more taller than a little cross over or SUV.

Or how about something like this?
