Shower drain not draining

Shower drain not draining

I posted this on the Facebook site also. I have a 2005 Glacier. I can extend a tube down the shower drain 6 or 7 feet without encountering any obstruction, but when I pour the pink stuff down the drain it fills up the drain all the way to the shower floor and it stays there. How can this be?
