I found this folding handle back in my overhead compartment, but I have no idea of what it is for. Attached pictures aren't the greatest but hopefully someone can help me out.
Thanks, Alan

Re: What is this item for?
Could it be part of the awning handle crank? My entire awning crank handle came stored on little clips in the closet on the forward wall, but looking at the last ~12" of it, it looks like what you have pictured. So, do you have the other 4' of it (a round rod with a hook on the opposite end)? Do they fit together?

Re: What is this item for?
Thanks Blue, but I don't think that it has anything to do with the awning because I found the crank for the awning. I guess if someone can't identify it I'll just assume that it doesn't have anything to do with the Chinook. It's a nice little handle though.

Re: What is this item for?
Does your awning crank have a similar section on the end opposite the hook then like mine? That makes it so the straight bar "turns into" a crank handle shape when you bend it at the joints?

Re: What is this item for?
Here are photos showing the awning crank handle that stores on clips in the closet. The first two photos are the opposite ends of the crank, so picture them attached together in the center. The third one shows the one end "folded" into a crank handle position. I've never taken that part off the main rod, but it looks like it's held in with a set screw of sorts.
This is what made me think it was part of the awning crank.

I'll take another look at the longer awning crank that I have, I could be missing something. I meant mentally, not physically.

You were absolutely right blue (no surprise to me), Someone had replaced this handle with another on, so that solve this mystery.
Thanks, Alan
