I’m enjoying the New England diners.

I think you are just pulling our chains. Those are snow cone makers...What are those red machines?

Having grown up in NE but living in South for last 29 years I will say I have always missed the diners and family run restaurants in NE/New England. I lived in Atlanta for 14 years and now Richmond VA for past 14 and there are way toooooooo many chain/franchise places. Good diners almost non-existant, good family places few and far between. I live in fast growing suburb and everything they build is plastic and boring. Once last child out of H.S. change will be made.

68camaro, I’ll dedicate my next diner meal to you.
chin-k: So that’s what they look like.
It’s too early for the leaf show so we’re out driving around looking for moose. We’ve driven along the Canadian border in Vermont, New Hampshire and now in Maine. Tomorrow we’ll go to Abbott, Maine to visit a bakery and buy some of the best Whoppie Pies ever then up to the Moosehead Lake.

Uploading has gotten to be a hassle. It keeps asking me to sign in again for some reason.

Well then we are extra grateful for the photos (sorry it's giving you trouble though).
That green car and vintage trailer is a pretty nifty combo.

The free bus system is a great way to get around the island.
