heated flexsteel seats not heating?

Post by sm350bl »

New to me 2000 concourse. coach has flex steel front seats. Was combing through the electrical on the coach last night. Checked and replaced any blown fuses. My question is, the flex steel seats are power adjust ( at least the drivers is all power) and it moves in all of its ways. Both front seats have a red rocker switch's indicating heated seats. However they seem to not have power, they dont light up and seem to not work. Anybody have experience with these or what to check? I looked underneath and there are wires going to the switches and those wires run into a loom of wires and nothing seems unplugged. everything else on the seats work but both seats do not heat. Any help is appreciated.

I've got FS seats in my 2000 Premier. I don't think I've ever noticed a heat option. Where is the rocker switch located?

They are small red rocker switches. Mine are mounted just below the bottom cushions facing forwards, toward the dash. They are stand alone and not integrated with the power adjust switch plate. They have the seat with wavy lines picture on them.

I wonder if an owner added the heated function? I know there are kits you can buy.

(My Flexsteel stock seats aren't heated either.)

Mine does not have the heat. It is always too warm for me anyway, even on a winter morning after I warm it up naturally after sitting on it for a few minutes. Must be a pair of unique front seats you got there.

Back when I was first looking for a Chinook, I remember finding several Destiny models with them, and it seemed to be an option on other models as well. Perhaps mostly with leather front seats??

Interesting. Mine does not have one.

Looking at the icon on the rocker switch, it looks like an ejection seat switch. Put a mannequin on the passenger side, and push the button, and let us know how high does it goes... :D

Good for a laugh this morning. Thanks! (I'm picturing the excess energy causing the mannequin to hit the overhead, bounce back down to the seat, back up to the overhead, etc.)
