2001 Chinook 4x4 Concourse Front Axel?

Post by MG GOLDIE »

I have a 2001 Chinook e350 v10 6.7 with the Salem Kroger 4x4 conversion. One of the front brake calipers is seized and I wanted to see if anyone knew what axel was used by Salem Kroger with the 4x4 conversion.

We are also overhauling the suspension. Has anyone used custom springs from Alan Spring in Grand Junction? I was also looking at the Weld Tec Spring in the rear to eliminate the Mor Ride System. We have our 2nd Mor Ride installed currently and its showing signs of failure.

Is it a coil spring or leaf spring front end? If it's leaf the axle should be
either a Ford Dana 50 or Dana 60. If it's coil then it should be a Ford super 60
that Ford started using on their trucks in 2005. If you call Craig he may be
able to help you. He used to run Salem Kroger the last number I see for him
is 530-736-3687. After he left Salem Kroger he started Whitefeather 4x4 conversions.
He has since retired so I don't know if the number is still good.

Salem kroger used to give the rv buyer an information packet that named what axle was used on that coach and associated hardware.

My 2000 concourse 4x4 had a Dana 60 from 2001 f350 installed. If that packet is MIA then I would be getting numbers off of it and calling a ford dealership to try decoding.
