Humidity Solutions?

Post by dogismycopilot »

Hi Everyone!

We've been living in our 2000 Chinook Premier now for 1.5 months (we acquired it just before moving into it, and it's our first RV so newbie alert!) We live in North Central Florida so of course we've been losing our battle against humidity. We've reduced indoor cooking and showering, have a Probreeze mini dehumidifier and 10.5oz DampRid bucket we rotate around, are looking for fan options, etc... But even when running A/C and all this other stuff our indoor humidity levels are around 80% most of the time. Besides just not breathing and being alive while inside our camper, what are unique solutions others have found to deal with humidity? I've considered getting a larger more powerful dehumidifier but I'm not even sure where we would put it...

Thank you everyone for reading and giving input on my newbie posts! :D

I live in Richmond which is pretty humid but not at your level or length of time. I use the small ridX bucket plus hanging bags that absorb
the humidity as well. I use a marine fan and roof vent fan which really helps, but I really don't use it much in summer months because just gets too hot and I rarely stay at campgrounds where there is shorepower. When I do camp in summer door stays open except for screen (again no shore power).

Not too hopeful really but good luck on finding solution.
