Now I have nothing left to do but wait. Top spacer bar is the exact width of the drawers and slide widths so I will be able to just install the slides and drawers and it SHOULD fit. I think I will paint everything so it looks at least presentable even though it will mostly be covered by the drawers, I'll wait to see how it looks when it's all together.
On to the kitchen backsplash for now! Been waiting a long time to start this one.

Those thumb holes look so nice. Did you use a router? So perfect.

It looks nice, but I would hate to poke my finger into a drawer of knifes, picks, and other sharp objects.

Actually, just my DeWalt hole saw with pilot drill I have had for years...Looks like this: https://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/product/Dew ... olesaw-Set
60 grit sand paper by hand to smooth out the edges. For anyone wanting to do this, drill from the front first until the drill guide bit pokes through the back of the material, remove the hole saw and then drill from behind to finish the cut. This will prevent any kind chipping or tear out on the wood and will create smooth cuts. Not doing it this way results in large splinters and chips.
I'm really happy with how they turned out!
No knives or sharp objects in there Chin, just pots or a toaster I think. I actually thought it was better than having nothing because the top edges will be very close to each other when closed and to the cabinet so reaching your hand into grab the top would result in skinned hand tops I thought. Your other option is to use a flat ring marine style pull but then you would need to make your drawers less deep so the handle doesn't hit the door in the closed position. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B075YV ... This was fast and easy so I just went with it...

Decided to act on the ChinK safety mod upgrade (CkSMU) and add in a safety barrier divider
Extra piece of pine laying around, cut to length, sanded and two "L' brackets and we are done. Separate CsKMU approved, large cutlery storage without taking away too much from the bigger area. And, safe mouse hole access to boot!

Just saw this thread. We did something similar. Except we permanently attached the cabinet doors to the front of the drawer. Used plexi to make dividers inside the drawer. One unanticipated issue was keeping the drawer closed during travel. The standard cabinet clips couldn't hold against the momentum of the drawer + contents when going around curves. Solution was brass hook and eye hardware from a marine supply store. Visible at the upper outside corners of the drawer in closed position.

Hey, that's a nice looking job, well done! I like the front height to accommodate taller items! Amazing how another design instantly makes you second guess your own

I love it. It's fun when something looks like one thing, and then .... it's another! Magic. I'm now picturing a revolving original TV and VCR that rotate to reveal a full library in the front of your living room
