Chinooks Mouse Proof?

Hi, I am going into my second winter with rig, I store it outside at storage place and was wondering if I need to do anything to mouse proof it? Are there any holes or spaces under the rig I should consider filling in or setting traps inside? I should say I do use it throughout winter so it doesn't sit for long periods.

Also, there are several feral cats that live about 20' from my rig, they are always walking around so I wonder if that solves rodent problem. Someone put out those nice cat weather shelters so they have a pretty good gig going with dry and warm place to nestle.

Get a roll of 10" aluminum flashing from Lowe's. With the flashing standing upright, skirt the whole rig close to the tires and secure the overlapped flashing ends with spring clamps. Mice have a difficult time trying to scale 10" smooth aluminum. I've done this a couple of ways over the years. First attempt was to construct sections using 8' firing strips as a base to shingle nail the flashing to. Each section was then attached to create the "wall" around the rig. Later figured out it worked fine with just wrapping the base of the rig with the complete roll. This works well only if the ground (driveway, pad) is fairly level to prevent gaps between the flashing and surface. Cheap garden stakes can help secure the flashing if on bare ground.

We placed two small cardboard flats filled with used cat litter under the Chinook last winter - no mice. Gross, yes, but perhaps effective.
