That blimp hangar - amazing. Just think of all that carpentry. Not to take anything away from the natural beauty of the Oregon coast either. I'm hankering to take a walk on one of those long, pristine, nearly empty beaches. But there's something about a huge structure made of small/precise wooden parts that's just cool.
(The other museum is the Evergreen Museum in McMinnville. BTW if you want to take that in, there is an RV park that is literally across the lawn from the museum. Just your commercial type park, but tidy and convenient. It's.... Orchard something.)
Okay, so perhaps it's whether you hold the phone crosswise (landscape) or up-and-down (portrait) that does it. And the landscape ones are "right-side up."

Re: We sold the house and hitting the road
Hello Washington! We crossed the Columbia River into Washington with the sun shining and knowing we just traveled the entire coast of Oregon from south to north. Yay! Hwy 101 has transitioned from eight lanes in California down to mainly a two lane road surrounded by the most trees I’ve ever seen. Pikes Market in Seattle was my destination when I started this adventure and now it’s almost insight. Again, hello Washington.

I wonder if it's tulip season in Skagit Valley? When I go up that way it's always late June or later, so I've never seen it in real life.

Re: We sold the house and hitting the road
SMan, I sent you a pm the other day. I guess I should see if your governor is telling the truth.
Stopped at Kalaloch Campground which is part of the Olympic National Park system. It’s located right off of good ol Hwy 101. I saw two whales ( using binoculars) before the mist rolled in cutting the visibility to maybe a 1/4 mile. The park is also part of the Quinault Rainforest if I read the signs correctly. Some of the trees are very odd looking. Nice park but overpriced considering there’s no electric, no showers and almost nil cell coverage. Twenty one dollars for a site plus ten dollars to use the dump station. Saw another Chinook in the park too. Left there this morning and stopped in Beaver, Washington to pickup our mail ( general delivery in a small town, thanks again for the tip Blue ) on our way to Port Angles and a casino near Sequim. Passed a beautiful lake along the way with very blue water. Got lucky at the casino boondocking area and scored a spot with free 30 amp service. Now if I could get lucky inside the casino.

Xatlatc, So sorry. I thought I sent a long response but must of hit either the wrong button or am not used to this new forum. I'll try again.
We have spent many Christmas mornings walking the beach at Kalaloch. I am sure the lake you passed was Crescent lake. A favorite picnic spot for us.

Arrived in Port Angeles and toured the Sequim area as it rained. The clouds were low which hid the hills and mountains. No sun for two days.
And then the clouds gave way to mostly sunny skies. Wow. Sequim and Port Angeles is blooming.

And then the mountains showed up. Off to Victoria in the morning. My first passport stamp I hope.
