As far as the Provan Tiger I looked at those but decided against it for two reasons; Its smaller inside than a 21 foot Chinook and its powered by a V-6 which is simply not adequate for an RV. Good luck and good hunting!
Good info and thanks, you bring up an interesting point about the Tiger, not sure if you mean GT or Bengal but I'll use the Bengal for this discussion. The Bengal has great interior and is only 4" shorter in width, but the seating area is "l" shaped and if only two of you fine but weird for more than two. Even a used Bengal is a ton more than used Chinook.

I wish Tiger had a club layout like Chinook, which makes more cozy communal spot to hang-out. If you are referring to GT than its just smaller.

I was referring to the Provan Tiger, the one built on a GMC Safari/Chevy chassis with the 4.3 liter V6. I'm not familiar with the Bengal but I think that Provan did use a Chevy pickup chassis for one of their RVs. I know they offer one now based on a Chevy/GMC pickup and it is quite expensive but then most B+ RV now are well over $100k, with most now based on the underpowered Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Check out the reliability ratings for Mercedes products on Consumers Report and you'll see why we Chinookers love our Fords!

We started our journey looking at Sprinters thinking they were best, but since we learned about their reliability and sparse authorized service centers we crossed them out and now will only look for Ford, Chevy or Ram based.
