Sounds like it is a rare feature. If it is mine, I will test the heating coil to make sure it is not short. Then i will trace the wires to see if there is any other connection or fuse that is not working. Hopefully it is not an odyssey like Dano's.

Well, the good news Chin, is my odyssey is over! Rear steps are working so I know we can help fix this one! Sm350bl, are you SURE the fuses are good? Don't just look at them, test them with a light probe. Don't make assumptions like I did, test each one. I have heated seats too, which fuse is it related to? Dano

Agreed, i'll have to trace them out. I'm going to go after the the cruise control buttons on the wheel not lighting up first then ill get into the seats, have to prioritize you know,,,,haha

I forgot that later models have lighted cruise control buttons. Nifty! (Although the non-lighted ones are nice too - they have two different grip patterns so they are easily distinguishable without looking at them.) Maybe yours have lights AND the grip patterns? (Ultimate!)
Actually, this is a pet peeve of mine on other, even newer vehicles. Buddy of mine has a new F-150 and I swear you have to study the steering wheel to use the cruise control (at which time you can't be looking at the road
) He actually made little foamy things cut into different shapes to enable him to actually drive while he adjusted the cruise control (ahem, just like my late 90's E-350!).

That's right, the earlier steering wheel had the buttons with the elevated button and recessed button to help you feel it out at night. Mine does have the indentations on the buttons as well as lights up. Had to consult a wiring diagram to confirm. My 99 superduty has a illuminated wheel but wasn't sure if the vans were equipped. But now that I know they are, I gotta get that working....lol

My 2000 has heated Flexsteel seats.
I don’t recall if the switch lights up though.
The cutaway chassis didn’t come with lighted cruise control, as far as the Ford dealer told me. I asked if I could order a lighted harness, but they said they would not do the install if I did, so I let it go for now. That’s my next project.

Those are def the same buttons on the seat as mine. Do your seat heaters work? I still haven't gotten to those.
I did do the lighted CC switches in my steering wheel though. I cant believe the dealer wouldn't install the new switch set. It literally plugs in. Think it took me 20 minutes to do start to finish.

Yes, I turned the seat switch on and it lights up and does heat the seat.
I'll see if I can just order the lighted cruise control and have a mechanic install it. The dealer said that since mine was not OEM factory lighted, they wouldn't install it.

Just wanted to update this thread for future onlookers, I did find a solution to my seats not heating. It was a blown glass inline fuse in a black enclosed fuse holder. It lives on a large bundle if wires running in the parking brake foot pedal area. I think my might have been mis-labeled, It stated 3 amp fuse and of course the 3 amp in there was blown. I installed a 20amp like another member stated he pulled out of his heated seats fuse holder. I Have tested both seats running at the same time for over half an hour with no problems, both seats heating nicely.

These inline fuse is notorious to troubleshoot. Are you sure 20A is appropriate? What is the wire gauge size, and how many watts does the seat pulls? It is a major jump in wattage from 3A to 20A, and if that does not protect the wiring, it will be even harder to troubleshoot if the wiring get damaged.
