It should be a different thread, but in a nutshell, the early economic indicators are showing signs of recession in near future, and RV being a luxury item, will often be the first item in the basket being hit with lowered demand, and the price will drop accordingly. Of course the RV industry can prepare for this by lowering the supply by making fewer RVs, but that will means layoffs and fewer jobs for the Indiana area.
It may not mean much for Chinook because it has been thru two or more of the cycles, but for someone like the original poster who is looking for RV purchase in general, it may be relevant to him/her.
