Good thing about Al is that it won't rust, but make sure it is the proper grade, since the slider do get bang around a lot, and if using pure Al, it will be too soft. For RV, I don't think a few extra pound going to make a difference. Is there a white anodizing coating available for AL, or it need to be powder coated?

Moving forward with the step assembly fabrication... the solid and slotted struts will be laser cut from steel and the step fabbed in aluminum. All will be black powder coated. Total price...$140.
Should have it in about ten days.

Hi, did you ever get the step fabricated? How did it turn out? If so, any pictures?
