Thanks, I appreciate that. Good point on just slightly over-inflating and then bringing them back to just right. We certainly don't have anything to worry about on that account since the tires' max psi is 80.

Finally got my quick connects and hooked up the air compressor. The tire gauge/inflation gun is great as it allows me to see the existing pressure and whenever I let go of the trigger it shows the current pressure. The deflator button on the gun lets me air down quickly. And, the little Senco 1 hp. air compressor fills the tire up rapidly. I tried it out on my SUV tire and was able to go from 23 psi to 30 psi in about 30 seconds. Also figured out the pressure setting adjustment so looks like I'm ready for the road.

Aired down to 15psi and the chinook did great on the sand! Spent the last two nights out here on the sand in Cape Cod practically by ourselves.

Thanks! I’m determined to get it painted this season, then I’ll actually get out my real camera to take some photos of her.

If I am the owner of that rig, I would charge you a modeling fee. ;)

Hi Wally - that's amazing that you could take your Chinook out on the sand like that. Out here in California there's a state park in Pismo Beach where you can drive and camp on the beach. I camped there once years ago and managed to get my van conversion stuck. Now that I can easily air-down and up I'll give it a try again. I guess having six wheels on the ground helps with traction more than I thought.
