Anyone here win this auction?

What do people think about price, buyer had videos on youtube but not well done? I seriously thought about joining the fun but had to restrain self as I prefer 1998 - 2002, but price seemed good.

The price seems fair and 77,000 miles on the 460 V8 is not much for that engine. A couple of notes: The fresh water capacity is actually 32 gallons and you should never tow more than 5,000 lbs.. as that is what the hitch is rated for. I occasionally tow my boat, total weight just under 5,000 lbs., and you can really tell you're towing at the limit. I would be wary on buying anything with this many components over the internet. It took me almost a year to find a Chinook that had all the features I wanted and I traveled almost 200 miles to see it. Drove it for about a half and hour and went home, did more research and then called back with an offer. At one point I was looking at one in Texas and seriously considered flying there to check it out. Its tricky out there as owners know that these RVs are pretty rare. For example, my wife and I are in the middle of a 3,000 mile trip that has taken us from Santa Cruz, CA to Deadwood, South Dakota via Yellowstone National Park. We've seen hundreds of RVs along the way and just one Chinook. Be patient and keep looking. Run anything that looks good by the Forum and I'm sure you'll get plenty of input.

Thanks, I agree on buying over internet. My 68camaro was bought on ebay, I even paid appraiser to look at and when I shipped back east I discovered it needed work the appraiser nor seller mentioned. It was little things that took over a year to get through, fairly easy for me to do but still I was miffed it wasn't brought to my attention.

Good luck on your journey sounds like a lot of fun.
