Chinook RV

For me and my upcoming retirement it was always. always going to be a trailer to tow to all 48. One night I am looking on Craigslist and there is an ad for a 1975 Chinook Concourse. So clean inside and out. Saw her, had to have her. My daughter has determined it is a she and has named her Ramblin' Rose after a song my dad used to sing to her. Anyway, I am thrilled beyond belief. Heading to Copalis on the Washington State coast this coming weekend for our first shake down trip. The lady I bought it from explained about a million things to me in 20 minutes, as expected I remember nothing. No owners manual so I will just fake it til I make it. First task is figuring out the propane and fridge operation while I am on the road .

I bought mine 2 weeks ago, current owners used it very little and really just around town, not as a camper, so they couldn't explain how anything works and what they did tell me was wrong...ha ha.

Good idea on fridge, I got it wrong and after about 8 hrs driving I checked fridge and it was warm. In the two weeks I've had it I had to figure everything out, folks here were very helpful. I still need to learn water heater, furnace and TV hookup but otherwise all is well. I had quite a few gremlins to fix but all were very inexpensive so it was a fun learning curve.
