Water filter recommendation?

It has been recommended that I use a water filter between the city water and the Chinook. Any recommendations for a good filter? Thanks!

There is a pressure regulator right next to the water inlet, so I don't bother with external regulator, but for water filter, there are a few you can get that is inline type and hook up to the hose. Camco is a brand that you can often find in RV store, for example. It is just a sediment and carbon filter, nothing fancy.

Thanks for your reply. Actually, you raise another good point, about the water pressure regulator. I gather it is reliable? Mine is 20 years old, so I'm uncertain about it's condition.

If you are concerned, you can check the pressure before and after the regulator with a pressure gauge, and see if it does drop it to the expected range. Some quality brass regulator last 50+ years. I won't be too concerned if you check it regularly.

I took a look at the regulator description, and the manual says it is set to 125psi. So in order for you to check the proper operation of the regulator, the input pressure needs to be higher than 125 psi. Frankly, now that I think about it, it is not very useful since I would like to keep my water pressure to be between 60-80 PSI. I am going to see if there is a way to adjust the setting, or maybe it is worthwhile to get an external regulator to keep the pressure at a more reasonable level.
