1978 Chinook... Race Truck?

Hello All,
I thought you guys and gals might get a kick of this. I have participated in a race series called the 24 Hours of Lemons for the past several years. It is a parody of the 24 Hours of LeMans, except with very cheap cars. The goal is to get a car into the race for $500 + safety equipment (brakes, tires, roll cage, seat, etc). It's a great time.
This week a team popped up on the forums with a mission. Pick up a 1978 Toyota based Chinook that was about to get scrapped, thow a roll cage in it, drive to Kansas from California, and race it this weekend. I believe it is still ongoing as I post this, but they are definitely not in last place - which should tell you something about the series itself.
They are logging their story on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/racingcamper/ I recommend starting from the bottom of the page where they started their journey and working back.
I believe the vehicle is now on Ebay, so hopefully we'll see this thing racing again in the future. Make sure you check out the videos of it going around the track.
