Chinook RV

We have a 2001 Chinook Concourse and according to the manual, the drain spigot for the water tank is inside under the sofa. Soooo, how do you get the sofa in a position that lets you see and get under the sofa without it crashing down on you in a half open position?

On my 2001, the sofa kickboard pulls down to floor and valve is right in front, I can’t remember if on right or left hand side though.

In my 2004 Premier their is a handle in the middle just below the seating surface of the couch that opens access to the water pump/tank/and small petcock near the water pump that drains the water tank. BTW It takes a very long time to drain.
