Hi

I have a 2001 Chinook Concourse LT that until yesterday five 110v AC outlets (4 duplex and a single for the fridge) worked fine.

Today none of the outlets are energized. Shore power and generator supply microwave and power converter O.K.

The factory wiring layout diagram shows a GFI control is present. But I can’t find that component.

Any ideas to diagnose this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

I'm not sure if the "LT" is any different, but check between the bathroom door and the back door. Often people hanf a towel or jacket there and it covers the GFI outlet.

You are so right. We had a curtain hanging in that corner. I’ve only had the Chinook for 3 years and I’ve seen the outlet before but my aging memory failed me.

Thank you so much.

John

Mine also has an outlet in the fridge area. The GFCI outlet by the rear door kills most outlets as I recall

You probably have water inside your exterior outlet on the passenger side. I had GFI problems that couldn't be explained. I started at the GFI at the back door and finally need up at that exterior outlet. Once I cut the silicone from the cover and broke it loose water poured out. Blew it out with compressed air put it all together and it has worked perfectly since. I believed when I was washing the coach I sprayed the water a little too long at the outlet cover and that was how the water entered the outlet. I hope this helps.

yeah, the 20 years old outdoor outlet is not meant to be satisfy the NEMA requirement for water intrusion. Only NEMA 4, 4X, 6 and 6P can deal with that. I don't think they even make small outlet cover that have these rating types. Let me know if any of you come across any.

Edit:
OK, I am wrong. Apparently, there is this Leviton 80W07-D that is rated for NEMA 4, 4X, 12 IEC IP66. Anyone want to paint their Chinook yellow?
