Chinook RV

After removing the jackknife sofa and carpet, we installed cushion step vinyl sheet over underpayment and built a platform bed. We got a 5” thick memory foam mattress 72”x48”. We, also, chalk painted some of the woodwork to brighten things up. See pix attached.
Mechanically, we had Magnatech converter replaced with a Progressive Dynamics, replaced the fuses located in the undercarriage, replaced the rusted battery tray and put Dicor throughout the roof to stop leak.
Next will come curtains to replace the original shades. Curtain rods are those things sitting on the bed waiting to be installed. Cannot wait to be out on the road again once the pandemic problem passes.

Very nice, really like the floor. Did you takeout and replace battery tray or leave it out?

We had a new tray installed (replaced). The installer did a great job.

It depends on the tray condition. Mine was OK, so I removed it, cleaned and brushed it, and used enamel paint on the rusty spots, and it looked pretty good. If structurally it is in bad shape, then you may want to get a replacement.

Ours was rusted beyond repair. The runner on one side was completely dislodged. We had no choice but to replace it. Not cheap, but worth the expense. Now we don’t have to worry about batteries flying through the compartment door every time we make a turn on the highway

Definitely a good call to get it replaced if it is beyond repair. You do not want to have the terminals bumps against a metal bar, and short the battery.
