I decided to "go for it" today. Pulled the 4x4 diesel concourse into the shop to repaint the cab and all of the stripes. They are clearly wasted.

Very nicejob. You did it yourself? What year model is your van? Also, I LOVE that front spoiler. Is that stock? Where can I get one and will it fit my 1998 model?

Very nice, did you use regular paint or a metallic or other type?

I won't call it a progress if it looks worse, but we all know it is the necessary pain that it needs to go thru to get to the shiny stage. We sometimes have to step backward to go forward more.

Yes, I redid the stripes on my Chinook. I took it to Napa and they scanned the paint right on the coach, and put it in rattle cans for me. Yes, you can get a finish like that from a rattle can. That was my second Chinook, which I sold. My current Chinook remodel is on hold while we build a house.

Here is a shot of my painter laying out the stripes. I had the Chinook letters and "concourse" reproduced. The font on the concourse is not exact but I think it is close enough. I never realized the chinook letters are "laid forward" or "laid back" depending on which side they are on.

I didn't realize the Chinook lettering was laid forward and back. I had four of them made, 3 of them were leaning correctly and the passenger side on mine leans the wrong way. I used it anyway. No one noticed it but me.
The 1990 had the chin spoiler.
