Took first long trip with new lift and all, 6 hours to Overland East Expo in NC. On way down stuck mostly to highways but on return went secondary and backroads mostly thru NC & VA. Chinook drove smooth with upgrades, the Duratracs were surprisingly quiet and smooth, not highway tire smooth & quiet but not loud either. I was very happy for how they perfomed and road noise, or lack thereof...relatively speaking.
Got quite a few nice comments on rig at Expo, I didn't see any other Chinooks in camping areas. Here is pic with rig in distance.....

whats that brown rig?
OMG, thats was an Overland expedition vehichle from Global Expeditions....absolutely amazing. There were tons of major expedition vehicles there, they truly are built for off-grid world travel. Most expensive for sale was $1.5mm EarthRoamer.....here are some pics, I'll start Overland Expo East thread with more pics.
$1.5mm EarthRoamer - still for sale if anyone wants to upgrade from Chinook, this has a Lithium battery bank with three alternators that can run A/C and all electrical for 8 hours. Once depleted you only need to run engine for 30 minutes to recharge all batteries.
