Hello Everyone,
I just got my Glacier a week ago, but reading a lot the blogs and happy to find a community with topics on just about everything and glad to join the Chinook community. I live in Orange County, Aliso Viejo, California.
I just purchased my Glacier a week ago and have many questions to ask.
Just yesterday I drained my fresh water tank and sanitized. But I cannot get water in the coach when I turn on the faucets. I assume I need to open valves but not sure which ones.
Please help.
Thank you very much in advance.

welcome to the forum. Pictures of your valves would help. Did you turn more then 1 to drain the tank?

An obvious question. Is your pump turned on?
You can test the plumbing by hooking up a hose to the city water connection and trying the faucets. If City water works, but not your tank water, then your pump is probably not working.
How did you drain the tank?
There is a filter at the water pump that sometimes clogs and may prevent the water from circulating. You can unscrew it by the pump to clean it out.

Just a guess.... did you fill up the water tank with your hose? One of the common mistake is to use the black tank flush input, since it has a hose connector on it. I don't know if it is the case with Glacier, but make sure you either put the water in the fresh water tank with the gravity opening, or connect to the potable water connector in the middle of the rig. The one at the end without a lock is for flashing black tank.

Thank you all for your reply and help.
Chin_k - Yes, I filled the fresh water tank with the hose, there are two tanks under the couch. They are clear, I am able to see the water level. Also, on the display panel it also shows the level of the water as well. I used the gravity fill, have not tried the potable water connector yet.
Caconcourse - Yest I turned on the pump when drained the tanks. The pump was on and running. According to the manual, the two (2) valves by the fresh water tanks must be open and the water pump on and running in order to drain the tanks. Both tanks drained completely. After drain, I turned the pump off, and closed the two valves. I will test by hooking up to the city water connection. Also will look for the water filter and check.
Manitou - Thank you, glad to be in the forum. I will take pics of the valves and post them. There are 2 under the couch, opened them when drained the tanks. Also, there are 2 under the kitchen sink. Don't know what to do with those. They were closed when checked. I opened both, but no water. Also, there are 2 valves under the stove, which I guess for the water heater tanks. I did not touched those.

Re: Chinook Glacier 2500L
Mine is a Concourse, so there is only one freshwater tank. I guess for the Glacier, it has two.
When you drained your tanks, where does the water come out of the pump? I have a feeling that it is the valves position that shut the pump from the water in the tanks. You may want to check the Glacier manual and see if you have the valve in the right setting. You want the valve to be open so that the pump can get the water. For the Concourse, we have a stopcock that connects to the pump/tank valve that let us drain the tank without turning on the pump.

Hello Everyone, thank you for all your help and suggestion, have good news. Finally got water in the coach. I opened both fresh water valves (have two 20 gallon tanks) under the couch, turned on the water pump, first opened the faucet in the bathroom, waited about 10-15 seconds and voila. Happy camper!
