Rear Storage Compartment Upgrade
Rear Storage Compartment Upgrade
Over the years the trim in my rear storage compartment became worn out. Water seems to have leak in during a bad rain and damage the interior on the compartment. I tried a few different configurations but it never was the same. So I decided to remove it completely and go with this, it serves my needs at the moment and now I have a water tight seal. I may try something else later, but for now this will work. It cost me around $50 in materials from Lowes.

Nice clean look, do you have easy access to get behind it if needed?

Re: Rear Storage Compartment Upgrade
Thank you! Each panel can be removed or replaced if needed, one screw on either side of panel. Because of the compartment size and shape, I found it easier to create it like building blocks. I didn’t have any real wood working skills, so the building blocks method seem to work for me.
